Since I celebrated my birthday some days ago, I wanted to become aware of how I've aged in these last two years of the pandemic. Because although I've tried to take care of myself by maintaining a fairly healthy diet and doing some sport (walking an hour and a half every day and cycling two hours a week), I've noticed that the lack of contact with people I love has affected me physically and emotionally more than I'd like...

CELEBRANDO LOS 44... (Y CÓMO ME HE CUIDADO DESPUÉS DE LA PANDEMIA)

// Como hace varios días celebré mi cumpleaños, he querido tomar conciencia de cómo he envejecido en estos dos últimos años de pandemia. Porque si bien he tratado de cuidarme manteniendo una dieta bastante sana y haciendo algo de deporte (andando 1,5 horas cada día y 1 o 2 horas de bicicleta a la semana), sí que he notado que la falta de contacto con otras personas muy queridas me ha afectado física y emocionalmente más de lo que me gustaría...

Despite this, and being aware that the signs of aging are becoming more noticeable, far from feeling bad about it, I've learned that by taking care of myself physically (through exercise, diet and cosmetics) I'm also taking care of myself mentally and can face this lack of contact with other people in a better way...

// A pesar de ello, y siendo consciente de que los signos de la edad se me notan cada vez más, lejos de sentirme mal por ello, he aprendido que al cuidarme a diario físicamente (mediante el ejercicio, dieta y cosméticos) también me estoy cuidando mentalmente, y por ello puedo afrontar de una manera mejor esta falta de contacto con otras personas...

To give an example, although I spent my birthday practically alone (because my husband and daughter were at work and at school) and most people also forgot to congratulate me, far from feeling bad or sad for that, I decided to turn it into 'a day for me' enjoying the things I like the most: with a bouquet of my favorite flowers, a nice photo session at home (which always gives me a lot of self-esteem) and treating myself to food and dessert watching my favorite movie...

// Por poner un ejemplo, aunque el día de mi cumpleaños lo pasé prácticamente sola (ya que mi marido y mi hija estaban en el trabajo y en el colegio) y además a la mayoría de la gente se le olvidó felicitarme, lejos de sentirme mal o triste por ello decidí convertirlo en 'un día para mí' disfrutando de las cosas que más me gustan: un ramo de mis flores favoritas, una bonita sesión de fotos en casa (que eso siempre me da mucha autoestima) y darme un capricho de comida y de postre viendo mi película favorita...

In the end, you don't know how much fun I had that day doing the things I like the most! and even more so when late in the afternoon, I was able to celebrate my birthday with my husband and my daughter, with a special dinner, a little cake and lots of pampering that they both gave me...

// ¡Al final no sabéis lo bien que me lo pasé ese día haciendo las cosas que más me gustan! y más cuando ya al caer la tarde, pude celebrar mi cumpleaños con mi marido y mi hija, con una cena especial, un poquito de tarta y muchos mimos que me dieron entre los dos...

And on the other hand, I felt very happy and grateful for the gifts I received on my birthday: a totally natural and ecological skin travel-set treatment from Alma Secret, a black beach caftan from H&M and a black backpack from Paco Martínez (which I'll show you in another post)...

// Y por otro lado, me sentí muy feliz y agradecida por los regalitos que recibí en mi cumple: un set de viaje con un tratamiento natural y ecológico para la piel de Alma Secret, un caftán playero negro de H&M y una mochila negra de nylon de Paco Martínez (que ya os enseñaré en otro post)...

We take a few days off! but before leaving I wanted to share the second part of the previous post (about natural makeup for a summer wedding, see here). And, with a view to the next wedding that we'll attend in a few days, I wanted to show you two proposals for very different looks: one more classic with a black 'cocktail' dress, and the other a bit more daring with an 'animal print' long dress...

INVITADA DE BODA (DURANTE EL COVID): DOS ESTILOS DIFERENTES ¡Y NINGUNA REGLA!

// ¡Nos tomamos unos días de descanso! pero antes de irme quería compartir la segunda parte del post anterior (sobre maquillaje natural para una boda de verano que podéis ver aquí). Y es que, con vistas a la próxima boda que tenemos en unos días quería mostraros dos propuestas de looks muy distintos: uno más clásico con vestido negro de 'cóctel', y el otro algo más atrevido con vestido largo 'animal print'...
