Hi everyone! This week I wanted to share some tips if you want to
photograph your cat, as they've helped me take better pictures of our cat
Shiro, who's a real whirlwind and never stops moving around the house. I
hope they inspire you to take great photos of him, but always respecting
his space and his personality! ;)

1. To begin, it's very important to choose a time of day when your cat is calm and receptive to you approaching with your camera or phone to take photos... for example, while it's sleeping or lying down peacefully looking out the window.
1. Para empezar, es muy importante elegir un momento del día en el que tu gato esté
en calma y receptivo a que te acerques con la cámara o el móvil para hacerle
fotos... por ejemplo, mientras está durmiendo o tumbado mirando
tranquilamente por la ventana.
2. While taking photos, try not to disturb or distract your cat with loud or annoying noises. For example, you can take photos when you're alone with your cat at home, and you can also mute the camera or phone's click sound to avoid distracting your cat (you can disable this in the device's general settings).
2. Mientras le haces fotos, intenta no molestarle o distraerle con ruidos demasiado altos o molestos... por
ejemplo, puedes aprovechar a hacerle fotos cuando estés tranquilamente a solas con él en casa, y también puedes silenciar el sonido "clic" de la cámara o del teléfono móvil para no
distraerle (puedes desactivarlo en los ajustes generales del dispositivo).
3. If you see that it keeps trying to run away or hides while you're trying to take pictures, don't insist! It's better to gradually get it used to being near the camera, and you can speak to it in a very soft tone while taking the photos if you see that it calms it down.
3. Si ves que intenta huir todo el rato o se esconde mientras intentas
sacarle fotos ¡¡no insistas!!. Es mejor que le acostumbres poco a poco a
estar cerca de la cámara, y puedes hablarle en un tono muy suave mientras le
haces las fotos si ves que eso le calma.
4. On the other hand, a trick that works for me when I take photos of Shiro is to put his favorite things nearby so he can relax (like the blanket he always uses to sleep), or so he can play if I want to photograph him in a more active pose (for example, he loves fabric balls and paper bags).
4. Por otro lado, un truco que a mí me sirve cuando le hago fotos a Shiro
es ponerle cerca sus cosas favoritas para que se relaje (como la mantita que
siempre usa para dormir), o para que juegue si quiero
fotografiarle en una actitud más activa (por ejemplo, a él le encantan las
pelotas de tela y bolsas de papel).
5. Also, whenever you take photos, don't forget to give your cat some affection to make it feel good, and you can also give him some favorite treat to reward it when it stays calm and lets you take pictures.
5. Además, siempre que le hagas fotos no te olvides de darle cariño para que se sienta bien y también puedes obsequiarle con su chuche preferida para recompensarlo cuando permanezca tranquilo y se deje hacer fotos.
6. And remember, when photographing a cat or any other pet, you need to be very patient to get to know them well and understand their boundaries. Most importantly... always respect their space and their personality! Just like humans, not all animals are the same, and their individual personalities play a big role. :)

Y recuerda, siempre al fotografiar a un gato o a cualquier otro animal que tengas en casa, hay que tener mucha paciencia para conocerle bien y saber dónde están sus límites, y lo más importante... ¡siempre hay que respetar su espacio y su manera de ser! ya que, al igual que los humanos, no todos los animales son iguales e influye mucho su personalidad... :)
