SPRING DECORATION... AND TESTING A NEW CANON EOS 5D CAMERA
This week I bring you some details of the spring decoration of our
living-room, which I photographed a few days ago with a new
CANON EOS 5D Camera (with 24-70 mm lens)
that a friend left me to do tests at home, and despite the fact that its
handling is totally different from that of my
NIKON D7100 camera (with 35 mm fixed lens), today I wanted to tell you a little about my experience with it...

Esta semana os traigo algunos detalles de la decoración de primavera de
nuestro salón, que fotografié hace algunos días con una nueva
Cámara CANON EOS 5D (con objetivo 24-70 mm)
que me han dejado para hacer pruebas en casa, y ha pesar de que su manejo
es totalmente distinto al de mi
Cámara NIKON D7100 (con objetivo fijo de 35 mm), hoy os quería contar un poco mi experiencia con ella...
The first thing I noticed was how different they both felt in the hand,
because while my Nikon is super light and manageable, the
Canon weighed more than twice as much so its weight made it very
difficult for me to get more stable and sharp shots, since I had much less
control over the nerves in my hands and also ended up with uncomfortable neck
pain, because I wasn't used to carrying so much weight... ;)

Lo primero que noté fue lo diferentes que se notaban ambas en la mano, ya
que mientras mi Nikon es súper ligera y manejable, la
Canon pesaba más del doble por lo que su peso me dificultó mucho el
conseguir tomas más estables y nítidas, ya que controlaba mucho menos el
nervio de las manos y además terminé con un incómodo dolor de cuello, al no
estar acostumbrada a cargar con tanto peso... ;)
Another thing I noticed is that in manual mode, with
my Nikon 35mm prime lens (using ISO 100-200) I get brighter, sharper,
less grainy shots than with the Canon 24-70mm lens (whose ISO I had to
go up to 400-600), so the photos in comparison have been darker and more
grainy than the ones I usually take...

Otra cosa que noté es que en modo manual, con
mi objetivo fijo Nikon de 35 mm (usando ISO 100-200) consigo
tomas más luminosas, nítidas y con menos grano que con el
objetivo Canon de 24-70 mm (cuyo ISO tuve que subir a 400-600), por
lo que las fotos en comparación han quedado más oscuras y con más grano que
las que suelo hacer habitualmente...
Another point that I found very different is that while with my Nikon it seems
to me that I get a little more real colors, with the Canon all the shots were
too warm (with yellow dominance), so later I had to adjust this excess a
little with Photoshop to make them look better...

Otro punto que encontré muy diferente es, que mientras con mi Nikon me
parece que consigo colores un poco más reales, con la Canon todas las tomas
quedaron demasiado cálidas (con dominante amarillo), por lo que después tuve
que ajustar este exceso con Photoshop para que quedaran mejor...
In any case, keep in mind the price difference between the two cameras and the
great image quality that you can achieve with both: while the
Canon EOS 5D with that lens can cost around €2,500-3,000, the
Nikon D7100 with a 35mm prime lens can cost around €1,500 so it's an
important factor to consider if you're starting a business or thinking of
buying a more professional reflex camera! ;)

De todas formas, tened en cuenta la diferencia de precio entre ambas
cámaras y la gran calidad de imagen que podéis conseguir con las dos:
mientras que la Canon EOS 5D con ese objetivo puede costar en torno a
2.500-3.000 €, la Nikon D7100 con el objetivo fijo de 35 mm puede
costar alrededor de 1.500 € ¡por lo que es un factor importante a considerar
si estáis iniciando un negocio o pensando en comprar una cámara reflex más
profesional! ;)
Above you can see another comparison of the same environment photographed by
both cameras, although this time I did like more the volume and 'roundness'
that the ceramic sculpture acquires in the photo taken with the Canon,
compared to the more 'flat' effect that it seems which has the sculpture
photographed with the Nikon...

Arriba podéis ver otra comparativa del mismo ambiente fotografiado por
ambas cámaras, aunque en esta ocasión sí me gustó más el volumen y
'redondez' que adquiere la escultura de cerámica en la foto tomada con la
Canon, frente al efecto más 'plano' que parece que tiene la escultura
fotografiado con la Nikon...
For all these reasons, for quality/price I find my Nikon camera much more
practical and manageable, since under equal conditions (ISO, aperture and
speed) it seems to me that I get better photos than with the Canon: sharper
and more defined, with more real colors and with better light...
// Por todo ello, por calidad/precio encuentro mucho más práctica y manejable
mi cámara Nikon, ya que en igualdad de condiciones (ISO, apertura de diafragma
y velocidad) me parece que consigo mejores fotos que con la Canon: más nítidas
y definidas, con colores más reales y con mejor luz...
In any case, I'm going to continue testing the Canon in the next few days
to see if I'm getting a better handle on it, so I'll show you the next tests

Yo sólo uso la cámara del móvil pero me ha encantado ver lo que puede hacer cada cámara. Me encanta la deco de tu salón, tan bonito y primaveral como siempre...
